Challenge #50: Uninked Stamp

Hello Users!  Happy Birthday to us!  Use it Tuesday is turning 2!

We would love to have you join in our celebration by making a project that uses an uninked stamp...and as a BONUS...use GOLD!

We are also celebrating our birthday by opening a Facebook page that will keep the party alive!  Please feel free to like us...we will showcase players each challenge as well as keep you up to date on our happenings.

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

Please link your creation using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday March 8th. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE050 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Here is a little inspiration to get you started:

Stephanie used a stamp she got free in July (don't you love free gifts?!) and paired it with sold gold sew-easy thread!  We love how it looks with the button!

Tammy had fun digging through her stamps to find something uninked...and then admitted she discovered MANY that would have fit the challenge!  Oh la la...what a beautiful use of the gold embossing powder and her hoarded ribbon.  Amour!

Tracy found not only uninked stamps, but unmounted stamps!  Oh the fun we discover in our stash!  Her black ink was unopened and she used hoarded papers, too.  We love that flower, too!

Danielle rarely uses gold, but she pulled out all the stops for us!  She used gold embossing powder to accent the hoarded background stamp, as well as on the wood veneer stars and letters.  Even though she only used 3 stars, this is a 5 star card in our eyes!

Heather is celebrating her baby girl's first birthday!  Just last year we had a baby challenge in her honor.  Where does the time go?  Anyway, this uninked Birthday Monkey could not be more perfect...and she paired it with a gold embossed number1, as well as the gold layering.  Happy Birthday, sweet monkey!

Nicole had the help of an 8 year old with this card!  I would say they make quite a team!  We love the use of her uninked Tim Holtz background stamp paired with this embossed gold flower on vellum.  She also snuck in some gold cording and layering to accent the design.

Sherri broke out a new set of alpha stamps to make this delicious layout!  So glad she also used hoarded papers and Pink Paislee trim for this triple-threat!

Stacey also used three hoarded items for her darling card that celebrates spring!  Her sentiment is the unused stamp, and she got double gold with the butterfly punch and the gold stickles!

And we have our guest designer, Melanie, who won Challenge #48.  She made this sparkly beauty for our challenge!  Her gold glitter was hoarded and her stamps are all over a year old!  Way to use it!  Thanks so much Melanie!!

We can't wait to see what you create! Now go Use It!!

Challenge #49: Fasteners

Hey there Users! Welcome to our first challenge in February.

Fasten your buttons.
Anchor your eyelets.
Tighten those brads.

This week, we want to see your FASTENERS!!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

But wait, before we fascinate you with our Design Team creations, we have a little extra goodie for you. In two short weeks, Use It Tuesday will be celebrating a cool FIFTY challenges. Let's take a quick look back at what we were using from our stash way back then.

What was challenge #6? Why, it was...fasteners!! Here's an inspiration pick from that challenge, designed by non other than Use It Tuesday co-founder Siobhan.

Now, it looks like Siobhan may have used up her buttons back in April 2011, but I'm sure the rest of us have a healthy collection of buttons, brads and eyelets to complete this challenge.

Now, please link your creation using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday February 22, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE049 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

And now it's time for our Design Team inspiration to get you started:

Stacey starts us off with this beary cute card!! She used some of her shaped brads, the balloons, which have been hiding in her craft room for the past six years. Do you have a collection of unused shaped brads?

Heather had a little container in her craft stash filled with buttons in retired Stampin' Up colors. Without matching paper, they were difficult to use, making this Christmas Tree button collage the perfect way to use them up.

Stephanie wowed us with her careful lacing on this card, using eyelets that have been in her stash for at least two years. She also used some papers that have been around for almost a year.

Tammy didn't have to go further than her stash for all the ingredients for this "love"-ly tag, including those eyelets and some spritzes that haven't been out to play for awhile. Aren't those staples a great additional fastener?

Sherri scrapped this gorgeous layout using an inspiration picture she's had her eye on. Hoarded items on this beautiful page are the AC brads, Maya Road star pin and all the itty bitty scraps of paper backing the cut out title.

Tracy also scrapped her way through this challenge with vintage buttons from her Grandmother's button jar (guess how old those might be). Plus, she found some long lost twine and gorgeous lace in her stash just waiting to be used.

Nicole rocks this challenge with glitter brads from We R Memory Keeps that have been in her stash for about a year and an un-inked stamp that has been waiting almost 2 years for it's moment to shine.

Danielle likes to hoard entire papercrafting collections...because what's the point if you can't have it ALL! MME loves to support Danielle's hoarding with their gorgeous paper and embellishment lines. This Indie Chic collection had a large variety of buttons and brads to work with. Danielle accented her garland and also added the wooden buttons to the top of her page.

Our Guest Designer this week is Kym Upshaw from Kym's Crafty Cards. She won our Make It Sparkle challenge at the beginning of the year. Kym used some hoarded papers on her card, along with a decorative clip. Also hoarded are the vintage buttons on this card, which came from Kym's mom's extensive stash!  Thanks so much for playing with us again, Kym!

You guys never cease to amaze us with your creativity!!  We loved all the projects and plays on the color scheme.   They certainly warmed our winter days!

Thanks for playing, Melanie!  Feel free to add this badge to your blog and we hope you'll be back with us soon for your Guest Designer spot.

The Design Team chose these two as our favorites for this challenge:
